Benign Skin Growths

Benign skin growths include a variety of lesions that may develop on our skin that may be new or present throughout life. Benign growths include common lesions like birthmarks, keloids, milia, cysts, skin tags and skin tumors. It is important to have your skin examined by a board certified dermatologist to assure that the lesions are benign and not a skin cancer. In addition, over time some benign lesions (i.e. moles) can transform into dangerous skin cancers. It’s important to see a dermatologist to provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan for your skin.
