Can Coronavirus Live on hair?
Hello Beauties!!!!! Thats right, can coronavirus actually live on hair? According to the CDC, coronavirus can live on surfaces for up to 3 days. What this means is that includes your hair! The good news is that you hair’s natural oils can protect you from coronavirus as the virus likely does not survive as long on oily surfaces. One thing to take into account is that if you have extensions or hair that doesn’t get as much natural oils, you may be putting yourself at risk of coming into contact with the virus. Some ways to assure that your hair stays corona free is to:
If possible, wash your hair daily during the corona pandemic
If you cannot do #1, then cover your hair with something that is washable, so that when you return home you can remove that cover and wash that cover daily
When washing your hair, you do not need to use a disinfecting soap, just use your normal shampoo, but work up a good lather. Shampooing twice can also be helpful.
Lastly, use this time to pamper your hair and take extra care of your hair. Use a hair mask, take some hair vitamins and just let your hair hang. Using less heat and doing more treatments can make sure that you reveal beautiful locks once this quarantine is over.
